Donald moved in with his son Peter after his house burned down, but he felt like a burden since Peter and his wife stayed out late every night. After hearing from a neighbor, Mary, that he might be overstaying his welcome, Donald considered moving into a nursing home.
Despite Peter and his wife insisting they loved having him, Donald couldn’t shake the feeling he was in the way. Observing their late nights and tired faces, he decided to bring up the nursing home idea again, and Peter reluctantly agreed to visit one.
The next morning, Peter took a detour on the way to the nursing home, eventually stopping in front of Donald’s rebuilt house. Peter revealed that he and his wife had renovated it as a surprise for Donald, who was moved to tears by their generosity. Realizing his fears were unfounded, Donald embraced his son, grateful for the love and care they showed.
